Walking Club

Walk to Read begins the week after mid-winter break. It will run from February 16 - April 1. Students must walk in the morning before school at least 3 days per week. Sign in with teacher on duty in the gym when they come in the morning.

This website is for Mrs. Killian's Physical Eduction class. This site is intended to be a "virtual classroom" to my students, parents, and other educators. Thank you for taking the time to visit my classroom site. I hope that you find this helpful and informative!!!

 

 

What is Physical Education?
 

Physical Education is a planned, sequential curriculum designed and taught by a trained physical educator.

 

Physical Education will provide students with the opportunity to build their knowledge, skills, and  confidence to adopt and maintain a life-long love for physical activity and live a healthy lifestyle.

 

It's not just "GYM" Class
 

A common misconception is that Physical Education and Gym are the same.

 

Physical Education is the program developed where all students can learn and be successful with physical acitivty.

 

Gym Class entails no skill learning, inappropriate instruction, and where only a few students succceed.

 

Gym should be known as the location where Physical Education will take place!
